On 5th September, MER Public Higher Secondary School will celebrate Self-Governed Day, a special event that provides our students with a unique platform to take charge, explore their talents, and experience real-life responsibilities.
On this day, students step into the roles of teachers, coordinators, administrators, and other school officials, running the entire school independently. From conducting classes to managing discipline, from handling announcements to organizing daily routines, our young learners will showcase their leadership skills and sense of responsibility.
This initiative not only makes learning more engaging but also instills qualities of confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making. Students realize the value of discipline and dedication while gaining a deeper appreciation for the efforts of their teachers and school staff.
Self-Governed Day is more than just an activity—it is a practical lesson in leadership and accountability. It prepares students to face real-life challenges and motivates them to become self-reliant, responsible citizens of tomorrow.
At MER Public Higher Secondary School, we believe that such experiences go a long way in shaping the character and future of our students.
